Four Flowers 1 comment
I don’t know anything about flowers, except that my camera is in love with them! Maybe someone out there could identity these flowers for me.

This man was wandering King’s Landing Municipal Wharf while I was taking photos there. He was looking for snapping turtles, he said.
The body of water is Lake Nipissing.
Rain Delay 1 comment
I was walking on an overpass on a rainy Saturday afternoon when I saw this scene below me, a soccer field adjacent to the Ontario Northlands Railway yard. I grabbed a few hurried pics of the soccer players taking shelter from the rain. My camera was getting wet so I quicky put it away and continued on my walk. When I got back to my computer later that day and looked at the pics I was startled to discover the shot below.
The soccer players had seen me – even though I was quite a distance away – and were acknowledging me with smiles and a thumbs up! I hadn’t noticed this at the time. My camera’s LCD screen isn’t very bright when shooting in daylight and so details are missed. Also, my attention was filled up with technical concerns like exposure, framing, composition and focus.
Main Street Passersby no comments
Two young women passing on the sidewalk. One is smiling, seemingly carefree, obviously enjoying the summer weather. The other seems less happy. Preoccupied. Stressed. Well, that’s what I see. Maybe you see something different? The girl on the left has a Mona Lisa-like smile. What is she thinking?
I took this candid using my camera’s 10x zoom lens, a truly impressive lens for a lil’ point-and-shoot camera. Main Street West, North Bay, June 18th, morning.
