The roads are finally dry and the snow is quickly melting here in North Bay. But Lake Nipissing is still frozen, as you can see in the distant background of this photo taken on March 3, 2010.

Today I ventured out onto the frozen surface of Lake Nipissing. It’s the first time I had been out there this Winter, and the first time with a camera in hand. I took this one of some ice fishing huts not too far from shore.
